Adecco Wellingborough are currently recruiting for the below role for our well established client based in Park Farm Industrial Estate, Wellingborough.

Contracts Engineer

Hours: 7.00am - 4:15pm Monday to Thursday with � hour lunch break and 7.00am - 12.00pm Friday

Salary: £22,500 to £24,000 per annum


  • Four Times Salary death in service benefits

  • Private Medical Insurance after 12 months.

Holidays- 22 days, plus statutory holidays, increasing with length service to a maximum of 26 days per annum.

Pension- Group Personal Pension Plan with maximum contribution of 5% by employer.

Purpose of the Role:

  • The Purpose of the role is to provide an effective and efficient technical contract review role to the Production Planning and Export Sales team.

  • The Contracts Engineer will hold responsibility for the technical review, placement and release of customer orders received via the company ERP system and also answer Export Sales order queries from customers by email, phone/teams.

  • The role requires exceptional accuracy of work, customer service skills.

  • The Contracts Engineer will be part of the continuous improvement of the order handling functions through development of systems and procedures.

Main Duties:

  • Processing of Export Sales orders within a small team accurately using the company ERP system.

  • Reviewing technical specifications to ensure orders are technically clear and compliant.

  • Receive / answer Export Sales order queries from customers by email, phone/teams within departmental time requirements.

  • Liaising with Production Planning and Material Department to ensure order acknowledgements are based on available capacity.

  • Upload technical specifications to the order configurator database.

  • To help develop the Export Sales standard operating procedures and systems, whilst supporting a culture of Customer Support Excellence (CSE).

  • To occasionally take on additional duties / tasks as requested by Management.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (desirable)

  • HNC in mechanical engineering or related discipline. (desirable)
