We are currently looking for an information assistant who will respond to enquiries from the general public via telephone, take thorough messages from the callers and to pass these messages on to the relevant parties. Give callers support in a sensitive and courteous manner, to the quality standards identified for the Coroner's Office. This is an office based role and all measurements have been made for safety in the workplace following risk assessment recommendations.
You will be speaking to bereaved families on a regular basis and should have an understanding and empathetic approach to dealing with these calls. We strive for an honest relationship with our customers and like to have a right first time approach.
You will also be required to open incoming post on an ad-hoc basis and to scan this onto the system and send to the relevant person.
Additionally you will also be required to frank the small amount of post on a daily basis that is collected from the office.
As most of the staff are currently working from home there will be minimal amount of staff in the office, of which you will be one.


The role will be office based in Woking, GU22 7AP.
