Courier Engagement Administrator



Temporary to permanent


Salary: £10 - £11 an hour



To provide support and guidance to couriers ensuring an efficient delivery of the day-to-day operation.




Main Responsibilities



Duties



  • To be the first point of contact for any Courier Engagement queries.

  • Confidentiality needed for various aspects of the role.

  • Making the engagement calls for new, inactive & non-compliant couriers.

  • Assisting with courier application issues

  • Dealing with courier enquiry calls and emails

  • Managing documents and other approvals

  • Assigning fuel cards, handsets & uniform ordering

  • Assisting with all aspects of the courier e-learning portal

  • Support with the recruitment, induction, and training of new team members

  • Skill sets of individual team members are being continually developed and reviewed as appropriate.

  • Responds promptly and appropriately to requests for service and assistance, from staff, courier(s) and the public.

  • Manages difficult courier situations, quickly recognising signals of a disgruntled courier and responding in a calm and helpful way.

  • Comfortable using computers and adept in using search tools, browsers and email features: attaching files to correspondence, utilising tracking and management features.

  • Fast and accurate data entry, creation of grammatically correct responses without any spelling errors.

  • Comfortable adapting to change, meeting the changing demands of the work environment, responding well to any delays or other unexpected demands.

  • High levels of dependability including following instructions as well as taking responsibility for own actions and keeping commitments.

  • High levels of punctuality and attendance.

  • Works well as part of a team, is objective and open-minded towards the ideas and views of others, gives as well as welcomes feedback, contributes to building team spirit, aids others to succeed.
