Are you a good communicator wanting to help the Public learn more about Covid - 19?

We are seeking two staff to work in BATH.
Pay is £30.00 per hour

Ideally full time but part time will be considered.

The Role:
To engage public-facing businesses, services and settings (and in some cases residents directly) to promote public health measures, which in turn encourages members of the public to comply with those measures. The ultimate aim being to encourage a shift in behaviours that reduces the risk of COVID-19 and other Winter virus transmission.
The primary roles are to:
1. Engage key public-facing sectors and settings (i.e. hospitality, retail, leisure, taxi companies) in encouraging members of the public to adhere to key public health measures that will help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and other Winter viruses. For example, through in-person visits, engaging public facing businesses in discussion about high covid prevalence in B&NES, how their endorsement of public health measures will make a difference, and seeking their engagement with putting up posters (which B&NES Council will provide), visual ques and online comms material that encourages members of the public to engage with public health measures.
2. Engage with settings and services that support vulnerable residents, by proactively taking resources to the settings and services, which they can then use to encourage compliance with key public health measures to prevent transmission of COVID-19 and other Winter viruses, which in turn will help to protect those that use the setting/service (as well as staff).
3. *Engage with members of the public to engage them in complying with key public health measures, specifically in support of events during the Christmas period.
4. Collate insights from discussions and potentially "spot" surveys, and communicate these back to B&NES Council to inform the COVID-19 response.
5. Work across other projects within B&NES Council COVID-19 response, where community engagement would be beneficial, for example, to support outreach work on asymptomatic testing.
Requirements for role:
* Have a skill set and aptitude that lends itself well to community engagement.
* Enjoy engaging with people, being proactive, and able to respond to situations where there is any negativity in a non-confrontational, calm and friendly way.
* Driving licence and access to a car to preferable (though will consider those that are able and willing to use public transport).
