COVID Response Facilities Management Lead

    Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant field

  • Strong technical ability and knowledge of community

facilities, car parks and corporate buildings.
● Extensive and relevant experience in a lead client-side facilities

management role.
● Work successfully with key stakeholders including Members,

residents, businesses, communities, partner organisations and other

public services. Identifies and is responsive to customer needs, working with them to provide innovative solutions.

  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with statutory compliance and/or

health and safety issues in a corporate landlord or similar environment.

  1. Where would an ideal candidate have come from?
    Ideally has a facilities management background, preferably within a local authority/healthcare setting but not essential.

  1. What are the priorities/key deliverables?

The person will lead the COVID Facilities Management Response work stream, and reporting to the Corporate Head - Contracts . The role will require the creation and amendments of facility related procedures and

processes to ensure that all ENGIE managed occupied buildings meet government guidelines on social distancing and other COVID secure measures as well as health and safety standards.

Responsibilities will include reviewing and accompanying policies and

procedures to prepare facilities to be able to safely deliver services to support future working as restrictions ease.

The person will work closely with building managers and service leads, our TFPM contractor ENGIE and the Council's Health & Safety, Property and Communications team to provide expert advice and guidance in facilities management, health and safety standards,and reporting processes.

The person will be expected to lead the return to workspaces workstream for Kingston Council, linking into the Council's wider welfare workstream as well as providing hands on support to our building managers, and wider service areas so they understand what risks are in place for our workforce and how they can mitigate them.
