Based in Kingston, Surrey


3 month temporary role (potential of being ongoing)


£11.92-£12.80 PAYE P/H


Full Time-Shift Work



This is a varied role and will involve many aspects of site operations including the operation of the cremators, liaising with funeral directors, providing administration support and overseeing services in the chapel. Assisting with the funeral arrangements for clients, preparing the deceased for cremation and supervising and assisting the proceedings of funerals. Using your skills and experience you will help vulnerable people during this unprecedented time. Assisting the crematorium technicians with their duties and being available to ensure that there is no solo working. Handling coffins and preparing cremated remains for storage or disposal.


Delivery



  • Operation of the cremators and to complete general crematorium duties as required and to ensure correct identification and storage/surrender of cremated remains

  • Assist with the routine maintenance of cremators, ancillary equipment and statutory monitoring equipment

  • Carry out cleaning duties in and around the crematorium complex

  • Liaising with funeral directors

  • Providing administration support

  • Overseeing services in the chapel.

  • Assisting with the funeral arrangements for clients, providing the highest level of care to the bereaved.

  • Preparing the deceased for cremation

  • Supervising and assisting the proceedings of funerals.

  • Assisting the crematorium technicians with their duties and being available to ensure that there is no solo working.

  • Handling coffins and preparing cremated remains for storage or disposal.

  • Training will be provided on site.
