Adecco Chester are currently recruiting on behalf of North Wales Police for a qualified Crime Scene Investigator starting asap for 6 months.

Please note: The position could be based in either Llay, St Asaph or Llandygai.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Preservation of scenes of crime; meticulous searching of scenes of crime for evidence; fingerprints, DNA, footprints, other marks and impressions, materials etc, and the systematic recording of such evidence.

  • Systematic handling, packaging and continuity of exhibits etc, found at scenes of crimes.

  • Photographing scenes of crime and other occurrences, including accidents, post-mortem examinations,

  • exhibits/ evidence, prisoners, victims of crime, and other general photographic work in connection with police activities.

  • Specialist fingerprinting of prisoners/suspects, bodies and witnesses for elimination purposes. Swabbing for blood, firearms and explosive residue.

  • Preparation and submission of fingerprints and other items of evidence for expert examination.

  • Preparation of statements of evidence and give evidence in Court.

  • Completion of all relevant documentation and provide performance monitoring information.

The post holder will need to have CSI qualifications and experience.
