We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a customer focussed individual to work on a permanent basis with our client, a friendly and professional, family run business situated between Carlisle and Penrith.



They are looking for a Customer Sales Co-ordinator to join them on a permanent basis and be the primary contact for all incoming calls, offering excellent customer service in line with company values. You'll champion customer excellence in all that you do ensuring your customer receives a consistent, first-rate service in line with their individual needs, to maximise repeat business opportunities and brand confidence.

The Role




  • Achieve and maintain departmental service-level [i.e. call pick up, complaint response time etc.] to ensure all customers receive a first-rate customer experience

  • Identify and pursue own business opportunities and leads in accordance with agreed target levels

  • Nurture and build strong relationships with customers to ensure they receive a first-rate experience when choosing to engage with the company

  • Send out account application forms and follow them through to completion

  • Take inbound sales calls

  • Cross sell products where available

  • Maximise up-selling of opportunities with current and potential customers to achieve conversion targets

  • Liaise with colleagues to ensure that high levels of delivery service are achieved

  • Process monthly buying group customer orders adding additional dates when required

  • Keep up to date on product and promotional information, utilising your product knowledge to maximise upselling opportunities with your customer, in line with their individual needs

  • When presented with a new customer, you will champion the company, making the right first impression at all times. Through your interaction, your customer will be aware of all product offerings and the overall benefits of engaging with the company.



About you



  • Experience of working within a similar role

  • Detailed knowledge and demonstrative experience of Customer Service Excellence

  • Detailed knowledge and demonstrative experience of achieving sales and working towards key performance indicators

  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships with customers and colleagues

  • Able to show initiative and make decisions in a dynamic and fast paced environment

  • Maintain a professional attitude, demonstrating empathy, compassion and commitment when dealing with customers and colleagues

  • Articulate, organised and customer-focused

  • Good computer skills including Microsoft Office packages (Word, Outlook etc.)
