Customer Service Representative

3 months - potential for perm

Ipswich IP1 2AN

Monday - Friday 8:30 - 5pm

£9.50 / £10.85

To provide a superior level of service through the efficient handling of customer contact and maximising every opportunity to drive efficiency whilst providing excellent customer experience.

Day to day responsibilities:

� First point of contact for customers via incoming calls and / or incoming correspondence, (i.e. email, post, MDF, etc) to ensure customer expectations and needs are met

� Handle new & / or existing business calls & correspondence by accurately inputting customer details and ensuring they have adequate cover for their trip, giving them peace of mind.

� Handle calls & / or correspondence from customers wishing to make policy adjustments, or to ask general enquiries regarding their cover.

� Identify appropriate upsell sell opportunities as required to meet the customers' needs

� Accurately process mid-term adjustments, cancellation and renewal requests to manage customer satisfaction and avoid re-work

� Manage cancellation requests efficiently by overcoming the customers objection and providing a solution in an attempt to retain the business

� Demonstrate commitment and loyalty in supporting the ongoing achievement of the company values & behaviours including active participation in team, department & group strategy

� Comply with FCA guidelines; principles of Treating Customers Fairly; and underwriting criteria to ensure accuracy and compliance requirements are met


  • � Both verbal and written effective communication skills essential

  • � Previous experience of working within customer sales & service environment

  • � Previous experience in high volume contact centre desirable

  • � Keyboard skills desirable

  • � Highly motivated with excellent communication and listening skills

  • � Ability to build rapport and focus on the customer

  • � Excellent telephone skills

  • � Evidence & display all company values

  • � Ability to work well in a team
