Our client a Higher Education organisation are currently recruiting for a Data & Innovation Lead, this role is to start ASAP, duration 12 months MAT cover, salary £45k-£48k, hours Mon-Fri 35 hours per week.


We are looking for a talented professional who has expertise with analysing data sets and visualising data (dashboards) and has great communication skills. A plus if you have some experience in managing a small team.



Key responsibilities;





  • Lead DLH Tech team consisting of learning technologists and learning developers; collaborating closely with digital learning designers, academics and students. Identify address resource requirements and shortfalls within the team




  • Identify technical requirements for new projects and programmes and work with other functional leads to deliver solutions




  • Create a strong community of practice around new technologies & platforms to facilitate knowledge exchange, best practice, and the proper management of technical issues and developments




  • Present the best of DLH in interactions with external partners, including presentations at conferences and seminars




  • Take initiative to develop partnerships with other areas of the college and with external partners




  • Develop skills in others, particularly technical and data analytics skills




  • Develop data tools (e.g. interactive dashboards) to support a wide range of stakeholders in identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets. These could be related to the behaviour of learners, or experiments conducted on a particular platform




  • Build new innovative tools that can take a data set and expand on them/visualise them e.g. developing new data collection packages, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality



  • You will be expected to adopt best practices and uphold high standards across all aspects of your work, share your ideas, develop them into useful tools, design creative, attractive and responsive user interfaces, and well-engineered backend systems
