Our Client are one of the UK's largest last mile logistics services, providing home delivery for a wide range of companies from more than 60 locations, including warehouses and depots nationwide.

They deliver parcels for global brands on behalf of some of the largest parcel carriers and logistics companies in the world. they focus on the final mile of the operational distribution service, collecting shipments from local delivery stations and delivering them to residential customers.

The team are now looking at adding an experienced Debt recovery officer to the office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional who is looking at developing their skills and working for a forward thinking business

Job Requirements

  • Assisting with debt collection related processes

  • Review all cases and assess suitability to proceed with further debt collection activity

  • Prepare and file documents for small claims action, mediation and court hearings

  • Liaise with debtors and reach settlement agreements on best possible terms

  • To use own initiative and work within the framework set by the policies and in accordance with agreed collection procedures to ensure the timely collection of outstanding debts

  • To speak with debtors and consider their individual circumstances and determine a suitable payment plan in accordance with the set policies and procedures

Person Requirements

  • Proactive, with a focus on customer satisfaction

  • Experience in debt recovery is ESSENTIAL (at least 1 year)

  • Hardworking and dedicated attitude

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A passion for people

  • Resilient - able to deal with difficult/potentially rude customers

  • Experience working in an office environment and speaking to clients on the phone

  • Able to prioritise workloads and assume responsibility for the completion of own duties in a professional manner and manage own workload

This role is a full time permanent role with a view to start ASAP. Normal office working hours Monday-Friday. The company provide a stable and professional working environment which will give you tools to succeed.

Salary Range - £22,000 - 28,000 plus benefits -

Depending on experience, negotiation is on the table for the right person
