We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager with knowledge of Social Care.


Your role will be to support the registered Manager in maintaining operational services to improve services our client supplies.


MAIN DUTIES:



  • Maintenance of accurate care plans, risk assessments, medication records and any other documents that ensure they provide safe, effective, responsive and caring services.

  • Liaison with clients, their representatives and advocates to maintain high quality services that are tailored to individuals.

  • Liaison with other professionals (GP's, District Nursing team, Occupational Therapy team etc) to improve outcomes for individuals.

  • Responding to matters arising including concerns, complaints and safeguarding issues.

  • Covering during manager absence / holiday periods.

  • Ensuring safe service delivery through proactive planning and appropriate responses to incidents.

  • To support rostering of care visits, maintaining and updating the care management system as required.

  • Promoting the ethos and values and leading by example.

  • Ensuring the effective running of the service out-of-hours when on-call


Team Management:



  • Promote a nurturing, supportive and developmental approach to individual staff members.

  • To maintain a visible and supportive management presence for the care team.

  • To support staff management and supervision.

  • To assist the Registered Manager with managing performance issues when required

  • To provide administrative support for recruitment and HR


Staff Training



  • To help track, analyse and record staff training / professional development and to develop training schedules for individual team members and whole team activities.

  • To help source and co-ordinate required training (externally and in-house).

  • To work collaboratively with partners and other agencies where possible to keep costs low.

  • To support the induction of new staff and supporting them to complete the Care Certificate.

  • To support and/or deliver appropriate training sessions and updates as required - guided by the Registered Manager and other in-house trainers.


Managerial tasks:



  • To support the Registered Manager to maintain continual improvements through a structured quality assurance process.

  • To seek and analyse feedback and identify actions arising.

  • Review policies and procedures and make agreed updates as required.
