Job Title: Material Handler


Location: Ware, Hertfordshire


Hours: Monday - Thursday 9am to 5pm - Friday 9am to 4pm


The primary objective of the Despatch/Material handler is to support the Production Team by providing Goods packed and loaded in a compliant manner. This may involve packing physical stock or equipment and troubleshooting problems. The position involves the majority of time in a standing/walking position and potential to manual handle drums.


Responsibilities:



  • To assist in packing loading, labelling of finished goods in preparation for despatch

  • To load/unload vehicles in a safe manner

  • To complete Air/Road and Sea qualification to Dangerous Goods level

  • Interface between Stock supply and compounders

  • Fill finished pack

  • To refill intermediate or raw material containers

  • Input to any improvements to supply process

  • Assist in Robot maintenance

  • Inform Shift manager of any related issues

  • Ensure stock levels are maintained

  • Update labelling requirements for materials

  • Undertake training consistent with developing skills relevant to those duties and responsibilities of the role.

  • Be vigilant in matters relating to health and safety within and external to the company's offices.


Skills



  • Current Fork Lift counterbalance license

  • Qualified to Dangerous Goods level

  • Microsoft basic suite i.e Excel/word

  • Self-disciplined and reliable.

  • Excellent inter-personnel communication skills.

  • Enthusiastic, determined, self-disciplined and reliable.
