An Ecommerce Assistant role has become available within a very successful family run Equestrian business near Ayr. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ambitious about e-commerce.



Duties will include:



  • Learning about the products and developing product knowledge.

  • Supporting the Product Development with the day-to-day trading on the marketplace channels.

  • Uploading various products, including sourcing images, creating banners for the website keeping it fresh with new content for customers.

  • Producing creative, unique and engaging product descriptions and optimizing pages for search engines to help drive customer engagement, sales and website rankings.

  • Responsibility for seasonal product launches-collaborating with the buying team and content executive to ensure product images, product descriptions and merchandising are completed in an effective & timely manner.

  • Keeping all social media up to date. Creating newsletters for the growing list of subscribers.

  • Preparing the sites for sale and seasonal marketing campaigns throughout the year.

  • Design work such as creating signage for the shop/centre/show unit.

  • Supporting other areas of the business as required.


The successful applicant will have:



  • Previous experience in a trading and e-commerce role.

  • Experience working with Magento/Wordpress is an advantage although training will be given.

  • Some good examples of previous design work.

  • Ability to read data and draw conclusions.

  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and organise workload.

  • Self motivation and creativity.

  • Excellent I.T. skills.

  • Strong organisational skills.


Hours of work are Monday - Friday approx 9-5pm but may be slightly flexible. Please send your CV in the first instance
