My client is a Somerset based family run business who are well known for their high quality butchery, delicious tasting pies and popular farm shop. It's a significant and exciting time in the business where they shift from traditional marketing methods and embrace the digital world. They want to tap into all things social, SEO, PPC, and online insight and are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic digital marketer to join the team and help them achieve this.

The right person will be as passionate about click conversions and creating engaging social content as they are about making great tasting products. Their ethos is simple. Make great tasting food whilst supporting the British farming community and championing local where possible. They have a fantastic local following but now need to drive the marketing activity up a gear.

In this role, their new digital marketing executive will;

  • Manage the main social media channels

    • Communicating their key brand values through creative digital content

    • Collaborate with key personnel in the business to create engaging but appropriate content for the channels

    • Respond to interaction

    • Maximise reach and grow online following

    • Support and enhance the business brand via key influencers, content sharing and content development

  • Manage online advertising campaigns

    • With an agency to lean on for SEO, PPC and Google Ad campaigns, ultimately their new digital marketing executive will be taking a lead role in developing strategy, monitoring campaign performance and making suggestions on how to improve and push output to the next level.

  • Co-ordinate email marketing campaigns

    • Develop a targeted approach to digital comms and, manage and analyse the results

    • Working with the in-house artworker, create engaging, regular content for email campaigns

  • Identify new trends and develop targeted lead generation activities based around research and digital insight

  • Support the wider marketing department and further digital activity across the group.

The ideal candidate would have experience in growing a brand online, know how to use digital management tools such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Wordpress etc. and have sound creative and organisational skills. They are a fast-paced business so looking for someone who is ready to take ownership and use their initiative in this role to help achieve their marketing objectives.

Creative Cloud design skills or knowledge of video editing desirable but not essential.

A full UK driving license and willingness to travel/work from their other sites is a must.

My client can offer an excellent benefit package and this is a fantastic opportunity to grow and progress within a Family run business.
