Adecco Poole and Bournemouth are delighted to be assisting one of our local clients in their search for a Domestic Abuse Advisor.

This role is being offered on a 9 month contract.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a proactive service to victims of domestic abuse enabling them to manage their safety. The candidate will be part of assessing the risk that a client is in and delivering a service appropriate to the level of risk, offering a premium service to those at high risk.


  • Risk assess and deliver service in keeping with the level of risk identified

  • Manage a caseload of referrals and keep records up to date

  • Conduct face to face meetings with victims to carry out immediate safeguarding

  • Undertake safety planning with clients to secure practical safety measures are requested

  • Provide specialist advise to victims

  • Where appropriate keep victims informed of decisions to review their case

  • Provide a central point of contact

The Ideal Candidate

  • Current understanding of the legislation relating to domestic abuse

  • Able to use initiative and have good decision making skills

  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadline

  • Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work as a member of a team and interact with others

  • Possession of a full driving license
