LOCATION: Working remotely, some travel to the office in Reigate may be required
PAY RATE: £28.25 PAYE / £36.57 Umbrella per hour
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 3 month contract plus potential extensions
IR35 STATUS: Inside



OVERVIEW:


The Interim Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Programme Manager's role is to drive delivery of the council's corporate EDI change programme, which aims to transform the council's culture and ensure it is a fair, compassionate and inclusive organisation that genuinely values difference and makes everyone feel safe and belong.


The postholder must have a proven track record of project and programme delivery to the highest quality standards within cost, risk and time constraints. They will also need to demonstrate high levels of skill in influencing, communicating with and mobilising colleagues in a matrix management environment to project delivery.


They will also be working closely with the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) sponsor for EDI to keep them briefed on progress and support them with secretariat of the EDI Change Group (corporate steering group for EDI).



SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:



  • Strong commitment to driving improvement in EDI

  • Significant experience and proven track record of project and programme delivery

  • Excellent stakeholder relationship and management skills with demonstrable ability to develop and maintain relationships at senior levels across the organisation

  • Understanding of key strategic issues facing local government, the wider public sector and partners
