Adecco are currently recuiting for an EDUCATION CONTRACTS MANAGER to work REMOTELY for a South-West London Local Authority,





£20 TO £25 PER HOUR (DOE)


Job Purpose

  • To lead on ensuring that the contracted provision meets the needs of Ofsted, GLA and ESFA standards.

  • To work with the Board, senior leadership and contractors, to ensure financial sustainability, improved learner experience through the monitoring of agreed KPIs on an annual basis.

  • Write and implement a Quality Improvement Plan that will include the improvement of a robust approach to the completion self-assessment report each term. The plan will set out how adult education processes, organisation data and key performance indicators will be monitored against organisational targets

  • Develop and implement a process that will enable the Board and Senior Leaderships to measure success for excellence in the delivery of adult education services across all geographical areas.

  • Provide monthly reports for accurate evaluation of organisational performance Implement a centralised process for monitoring and validating student retention and achievement

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement and review Key Performance Indicator framework and risk assessment process and monitor performance against them identifying mitigating actions in a timely manner through the team

  • To use data provided by contractors to identify underperformance of specific groups of learners, and work with contractors to ensure that improvement actions are monitored for impact;

  • To be the first point of call for contractors and take a proactive role in supporting them to deliver successfully their given contracts

  • To work with contractors to prepare and maintain data relating to learner progress and achievement, and make this available for curriculum managers and SMT as required;

  • To work with contractors to proactively capture destinations of learners, on exit and after leaving;

  • To maintain knowledge of funding body and Ofsted data requirements, and work with contractors reporting analyst to ensure that reports relating to learner progress and achievement are available in an appropriate format for curriculum managers;

  • To lead on the production of the annual SAR and QIP, and ensure the QIP is monitored and updated in a timely manner;

  • To ensure recommendations to ensure destination and progression data is captured, and to monitor implementation of systems which meet Ofsted and SFA/ EFA evidence requirements;

  • To effectively administrate OTLA and teaching quality improvement systems; including sampling of contractors' own quality systems through co-observation, termly audits and monthly sampling of examples.

  • To challenge contractors' contract and quality performance through monthly meetings and inform senior managers of any risk in a timely manner.

  • To take a lead role in ensuring that all governance board members undergo initial Safeguarding training, and that updates are cascaded to the board

  • To ensure that statutory responsibilities and best practice for Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety are met.

  • To take an active role in collating and distributing all documentation required for Governance Board meetings, including Agenda and meeting minutes

  • To maintain central records of all interventions and activities with providers following the council's internal policies
