Adecco are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our local client on a permanent basis. You will support the production teams by carrying out Planned, Corrective and Reactive electrical maintenance tasks.


Your role will be to diagnose and repair electrical equipment break downs, carry out periodic inspection and testing and perform planned preventative maintenance tasks.



You will have many responsibilities, some will include:


* Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure


* Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act


* Carry out electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) to production equipment and electrical infrastructure


* Fault diagnosis and route cause analysis


* Work in accordance with site procedures, engineering standards and relevant legislation


* Utilisation of the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system for all maintenance works


* Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and is to the required standard of workmanship


* Work in accordance with the site permit to work system


* Continually seeks to identify new ideas and implement new opportunities, which deliver business benefit


* The ability to build and develop effective relationships and use these to improve performance



To be considered you must have the following:


* Served a recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent


* Strong IT, communication and team working skills


* Knowledge of the principles of company policy and operating procedures in order to ensure site and company compliance.


* Excellent communication skills


* Minimum HNC or equivalent in electrical engineering


* Ability to diagnose faults on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment


* Good working knowledge of maintenance practice, MTBF, condition monitoring etc



* Compex certification


* Experience working in a high hazard industry


* CMMS experience


* Industrial Health and safety training


* 18th Edition wiring regulations
