We are currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor for our client based within the Petersfield area.

You will be there to support employees and line managers with procedures, conditions of service, current employment law and established best practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain sufficiently detailed case notes (electronic and manual) ensuring that entries are up to date and accurate to enable effective case management.

  • Advising on HR policies and procedures and agreeing a course of action.

  • Identify solutions to challenging ER issues and present potential options and ways forward for consideration for the effective resolution of individual cases.

  • Develop and maintain strong and professional working partnerships with: Leadership Management and colleagues across the business to promote good and effective employee relations.

  • Undertake coaching and mentoring of line managers.

  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with other HR colleagues and line managers to ensure consistent and effective solutions to Employee Relations matters which meet business needs.

  • Plan and prioritise own work load.

  • Contribute to and support the development and implementation of new and revised HR policies, strategies and initiatives.

  • Ensure case law and legislative changes are effectively communicated to other colleagues in HR and all levels of management.

  • Collate, analyse and evaluate casework, evaluating information such as absence or casework statistics.

  • Identify trends and advising on learning points and mechanisms for improvements. Produce reports and recommendations where necessary.

  • Establish and develop an in-depth body of ER knowledge, employment law and best practice advice for HR and share this with colleagues including written updates and formal training as required.

  • Provide support and guidance to new members of the team.

Previous experience in ER, knowledge of employee legislation in Retail or similar field is desirable. You must be able to work collaboratively with teams and be happy to work alone as well as happy to work within fast paced environments.
