Adecco Chester are proudly recruiting for a HR / Payroll Assistant in Mold, Flintshire to deliver a dual functioning HR and Payroll frontline service to the Authority, External
Organisations and Schools within the county of Flintshire. Adhering to Employment regulations.
Ensuring best practice is applied throughout the full employee life cycle.Based in Mold but this position offers WFH


37 hours per week - it also boasts flexible working hours.
Pay £10.03 - £10.65 per hour (depending on experience)
Temp to Perm

Experience Required



  • Foundations CIPD 3 or CIPP (or equivalent payroll qualification) or proven experience in a large HR or Payroll service with a thorough understanding of employment legislation

  • A detailed knowledge of legislative changes and rules on HR and Payroll topics for example; Shared parental leave, maternity leave, and contractual responsibilities.


Main Responsiblities



  1. Using a variety of in-house and external online systems to accurately create, verify and


monitor employee HR and Payroll records ensuring the integrity of its data.



  1. Progressing candidates through the employment journey appraising documentation in line


with government guidelines and advising on any discrepancies.



  1. Taking inbound and outbound calls using FCC's in house call centre technology. Actively


advising and supporting employees, managers, external organisations, and potential


candidates in relation to both HR and Payroll queries, Due to the sensitive nature of the role


a high level of tact and diplomacy is paramount.



  1. Build strong working relationships with internal FCC portfolios as well as external


organisations that the department services.



  1. Working collaboratively across a range of portfolios/customers in line with different


organisational policies and processes.



  1. Action complex payroll related pension activity for 3 different pension providers


o Perform and process complex payroll calculations, such as, retirements and


certificates of ill health.



  1. Provide cross checking and peer review in both payroll and HR matters to meet Internal


and External Audit requirements.



  1. Mentor newly appointed team members in the provision of system intricacies to assist the


team leader and support their development of a dual functional role.
