Main responsibilities of an Enforcement Officer:

  • To undertake tasked and proactive patrol duties, the primary role of carrying out focused and high levels of enforcement and investigation activities, addressing issues of crime and disorder, anti-social behaviour, nuisance, environmental issues and other offences.

  • To support the prosecution of civil and criminal offences and presenting evidence in court or other legal hearing on behalf of Havering.

  • Contribute to joint enforcement operations to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour priorities identified and prioritised by the Tasking Enforcement Group

  • To respond as directed or tasked to Members Enquires, service requests and demands, complaints and taskings.

An Enforcement Officer Must:

  • Great knowledge of legislation and policy relevant to the role

  • Experience as an enforcement officer/ community police officer

  • Experience with handling anti-social behaviour, crime and disorder.

  • Knowledge of Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and Criminal Procedures Act 1996 or other appropriate legislation

  • Possession of a full current manual driving license (provisional driving licences will not be accepted) desirable.
