This role requires the individual to plan, organise and supervise IS forming machine equipment maintenance with the human and material resources available, adhering to established rules and procedures in order to guarantee the systematic improvement of the process and higher efficiencies both in quality and quantity, as well as ensuring and promoting adherence to HSE standards.

Hours: Monday-Friday - Days - 39.5 hours (some flexibility in hours required)


Location: Based onsite in Elton Cheshire


Requirements:




  • Engineering qualification or degree is essential




  • Background in production/maintenance team leadership roles within FMCG environment




  • Glass manufacturing knowledge is desirable.




  • Track record of improvement projects using Continuous Improvement techniques.




  • Proven record in people performance management with evidence of building, managing and motivating successful teams on a large scale, shift working operation.




  • Technical knowledge and understanding to be able to answer team member's questions and doubts.




Essential Functional / Technical Skills




  • Excellent people management and coaching skills




  • Ability to analyse root causes and implement decisions. Continuous improvement tools (5s; TPM; SMED, etc.) and production management tools (JIT, 6 sigma, etc.) knowledge is desirable.




  • Deep understanding of maintenance management tools (TPM, TQM, SPC, etc.)




  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationship with colleagues at all levels




  • Good level of communication skills across different levels within the organisation






  • Competent computer skills
