Adecco have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Project Manager to join our client on a 6 month contract.

Your role will be to lead and manage engineering projects, coordinate and monitor the project activities ensuring compliance with Company procedures and guidelines, including forecasting, planning, risk and change management and financial reporting. Also to manage the maintenance and repairs and monitor system performance of facilities throughout the site, including gas boiler, air compressors and water systems while ensuring compliance with security and safety regulations.

You will have many responsibilities, some will include:

  • Manage contractors for project delivery, including installation and commissioning

  • Manage and develop a top-level project road map for project activities to achieve agreed deadlines and to coordinate the business resources necessary to achieve these goals

  • Hold cross functional team meetings to ensure the latest tools are being used to maximise the opportunity to deliver site-based projects to time, cost and quality

  • Present monthly updates on project highlights, low lights, customer status, cost and schedule to technical stakeholders, leadership and senior management

  • Identify and ensure compliance with all statutory and licensing requirements

  • Create action plans/road maps based on team inputs; proactively address risks, resource gaps, and emergent issues to keep projects on track despite inevitable problems

To be considered you must have the following:

  • Experience in complex, multi-disciplined manufacturing project management, supported with a sound knowledge of Facilities MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) installation and maintenance

  • Can work autonomously and make decisions with limited guidance

  • The ability to engage, inspire, motivate and support colleagues to deliver project goals

  • Appreciation of Health and Safety associated with Project Management

  • An enthusiasm for, and demonstrable qualifications that show commitment to, the project management profession

  • An ability to communicate in written and verbal form with people at every level of their respective company's/organisations

  • Food Manufacturing background is desirable
