I am very pleased to be advertising on behalf of my client for an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN.



This is a permanent role and will be working for a growing company based in Crewe. My client is looking for someone who has undertaken an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification in Electronics,



Role Overview


Purpose:


To support the service and repair business.


Main Responsibilities:




  • Observe Standard Specifications

  • Repair and manufacture of electronic equipment using fault finding (both analogue and digital) to component level

  • Testing of 240v equipment

  • Manufacture of printed circuit boards (PCBs)

  • Inspection of safety critical equipment

  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions

  • Work to tight deadlines

  • Restoration work,

  • Manufacturing to pattern.

  • Be involved in cost saving initiatives using company tools and techniques

  • Service and testing of components



Qualifications




  • Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification in Electronics is essential

  • Trained to ONC level or equivalent

  • Welding

  • High level of dexterity

  • Flexible

  • Willing to learn

  • Willing to train to inspector level

  • Motivated

  • Able to work on own initiative

  • High quality standard


My client offers 23 days holiday (rising to 25 years after 5 years' service) + 8 Bank Holidays



Working hours are 37 per week
