Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 + Discretionary Bonus

Work Pattern: Mon-Fri 8-5 Fri 8-3.15pm | Total 39.5 hours
Main Responsibilities
Developing the EMS documentation and system effectiveness
Support and advise the site to ensure compliance with all requirements stipulated in the Environmental Management Systems (EMS), including legislation
To identify significant environmental impacts on projects
Auditing processes for compliance and continuous improvement
- Actively support the site management teams to meet Environment KPI's and targets, compiling weekly and monthly reports, with a focus on corrective action and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining and improve ISO14001 accredited environmental management and monitoring systems to ensure environmental compliance
- Responsibility for coordinating site Waste Management plans , assessing effluent quality, collecting and reporting waste data , costs , implementing waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
- Ensure legal documents (waste transfer notes/consignment notes/permits) are collected and maintained, and conducting waste and recycling audits
Working closely with our operational teams to raise awareness & improve environmental performance
Support the sustainability team on the introduction of new programs and targets
Produce Key Performance Reports to meet compliance obligations for operational permits
Visible hands on role, highly active across the Elton site, engaging with employees, contractors, supporting, monitoring & measuring environmental activity
Capturing all relevant data relating to effluent, energy, water, waste, and sustainability measures; and formatting such to form KPI's for reporting
Continual improvement of waste management contracts & identify housekeeping standards
Working closely with the HSE team to ensure operational risk is assessed and effective controls are in place
Ideal Candidate
Business Knowledge
Experienced in ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
IT skills ( Word, Excel, Outlook , PowerPoint)
Strong communication and presentation skills
Essential Functional / Technical Skills
Knowledge of Environmental legislation and good practice
Experience in auditing preferred
Business report writing skills
Attention to detail
