Pay Rate

£14 PAYE/£17.86 Umbrella


36 Hours


4 Month Temporary Contract


County Hall,Lewes(First day only) Role will then be permanently working from home


Main purpose of role

  • To raise awareness of the support available through the Growth Hub, advise and navigate businesses to specific EU Exit advice and support from partners and providers.

Key responsibilities

  • Actively promote the Growth Hub and it's services to businesses in East Sussex.

  • Actively raise business awareness of EU transition and the available support.

  • Completion of business diagnostics and ongoing support.

  • Determining the business needs by questioning and listening to their requirements.

  • Follow-up referrals with businesses and providers to monitor take-up and level of satisfaction.

  • Relationship management.

  • Support businesses with grant and finance applications, particularly associated with EU Exit/Transition.

  • Identify the most appropriate referrals to both local and national providers.

  • Ensure impartial and transparent referrals to local, national and private providers.

  • Maintain accurate and up to date records including timely updating of CRM.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities.

  • Determining Business needs, through questioning and listening.

  • Good communication skills, written and oral.

  • Well-developed networking skills

  • Knowledge of the local economy and wider economic influences.

  • Preparation and delivery of presentations.

  • Flexibility to work with a range of businesses, partners and stakeholders.

  • Organisational skills, including time management.


  • Previous experience in a commercial or financial environment.

  • Previous experience in International Trade (Import and Export)

  • Working with and providing advice to and understanding the needs of businesses (of different sizes and sectors).
