Working Hours - full time (9am - 5pm) , flexible working can be considered and candidates need to be flexible to attend events outside core hours where required.



The Corporate Membership Events Manager will organise, co-ordinate and administer events in the South East of England. The successful candidate will work closely with the South East team and the wider organisation and will be responsible for securing commercial partnerships that will generate sponsorship to support events and activities throughout the year. Experience with running an extensive events programme - both virtual and physical would be beneficial.



This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in a small and flexible team. The role will offer the opportunity to lead on the delivery of a busy regional events calendar together with contributing to the wider team in London and across the UK.



Key responsibilities include:



  • Ensuring a forward schedule of appropriate AGM, social, technical and professional events is planned and that all the relevant arrangements and notifications have been made.

  • Organise venue, facilities and on site arrangements for events and to make records of those wishing to attend.

  • Find speakers, initial liaison with potential speakers.

  • Identify, introduce and, if appropriate, conclude contractual arrangements with suitable corporate partners, with the primary objective of securing financial and other support

  • Liaise with the senior management team to plan and make the necessary arrangements for a programme of technical and professional seminars

  • Arrange internal attendance at shows, exhibitions and conferences organised by third parties

  • Work closely with the regional team to ensure the efficient and timely organisation of events.

  • To support Director South East with Branch Committee and Events throughout the year

  • Maintain complete and efficient records relating to each specific event and the overall regional programme.

  • Prepare a forecast and income and expenditure account for each event and show.

  • To ensure that all monies received are banked regularly and report income from events.

  • Support and contribute to all routine office duties, including telephone reception, as appropriate.

  • Work outside of core hours as required.

  • Other duties as directed by Regional Director South East.



The successful candidate will have:



  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • A full driving licence and own transport

  • Experience of event management and administration, preferably in a sales or membership organisation environment.

  • Experience of selling in event sponsorship, preferably in a sales or membership organisation environment and comfortable with financial targets.

  • Willingness to travel and attend events across the South East Region.

  • Willing to work outside of core hours when required.

  • Highly organised

  • Instinctively collaborative

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
