Executive Assistant


We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Assistant to join Devon & Cornwall and Dorset Police for a period of 12 months. This position is based out of the Police HQ in Middlemoor, Exeter.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage diary commitments to ensure the daily schedule of work is planned and coordinated effectively

  • Provide day to day support and professional guidance to portfolio SMT members

  • Take responsibility for the coordination and management of specified areas of business and projects to support the Executive

  • Prepare draft briefings, reports, data, guidance and communication briefs as well as more complex and bespoke correspondence

  • Plan, organise and support the Principle at force, regional and national commitments within their area of portfolio responsibility


Requirements:



  • Excellent planning and organisational skills

  • Experience of working at senior management level with excellent communication and customer care skills

  • The ability to draft grammatically correct and concise English and to explain processes in simple language

  • As this position will provide support to the Director of Legal Services, an understanding of legal terminology is desirable (not essential)
