We have a new position available within a reputable company within the Brierley Hill area that is looking for you!



Duties Include but are not limited to:



  • Responsible for the running of the Shop floor .

  • Overseeing all shop floor activities and ensuring all machines are maintained at all times.

  • Dealing any staff problems that may arise

  • Run machine & work as part of a team when required

  • Maintaining a clean & tidy of all machines



  • Ensure all staff are up to date with training

  • Ensure the shop floor staff has the appropriate competence and experience prior to commencing their tasks.

  • Providing training as requested, and in line with current internal policies regarding training, to support ongoing requirements and understanding. Maintain current training documentation

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation

  • Be expected to be very hands on within the role whilst also managing a team

  • Stock management, being responsible for jobs that need completing on the shop floor

  • Management of a total of 12 staff at any given time




Skills/Experience Required:



  • Strong communicator (written and orally)

  • Must be 'hands on' (Heavy lifting will be required)

  • Good organisational skills, numeracy & an attention to detail



  • Previous experience of working as a Fabrication Works Manager, Effective time management skills with a flexible approach and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

  • Self-motivated and organised with ability to work using own initiative and as a team

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow defined procedures and regulatory guidelines

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
