We are looking for a Facilities Assistant to start on temporary contract to work in the Chatham area. You will be required to work as part of a small team on a university campus to maintain the smooth running of the campus. You will be assisting the general facilities for the buildings and across the site. There will be some manual handling required in this role you will need to have experience completing basic DIY tasks. This is a Monday to Friday position, and you will also need a recent DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure Health and Safety

Fire alarm testing
Organising and ordering supplies

Litter picking, waste disposal and maintaining campus standards

Complete basic DIY tasks

Complete various daily compliance checks

Highlight any issues requiring maintenance or repairs from tradesman
Providing assistance to any building services e.g., Security, Health and Safety and Maintenance services
Updating the business of any facility changes
Check in deliveries


Hours: Mon-Friday- 36.25 hours
Salary: £10.60/hour
