Aim Of Post

The purpose of the Facilities Operative is to service the development, its guests and visitors by inspecting and maintaining the building, grounds, fittings, equipment and ensuring they are compliant with building regulations and health and safety requirements


� To be a main point of contact and be responsible for regular inspections, maintenance and repairs of the internal structure, fittings, equipment and cleaning at the development, tending to issues upon request.

� To report any defects and maintain cleanliness of the work area as required.

� To be responsible for quality customer service for residents and guests whilst carrying out work and strive for continuous improvement.

� To conduct the required health and safety inspections and activities to assist in keeping the development and workplace a safe environment for all.

� To tend to any general maintenance requirements inside the flats when required

� To assist the cleaner with communal cleaning in part of the grounds/internals should additional help be required in these areas as a result of heavy soiling.


� Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with team members, onsite staff, residents and guests, working collaboratively to achieve overall business outcomes.

� Take personal responsibility for understanding and following the company's Health and Safety policies and practices, demonstrating personal engagement with safety and proactively identifying risks and hazards (to immediate manager) to continuously improve safety performance.

� To understand the vision for the site and what is expected to maintain and deliver that vision.

Required Experience and Technical Competency

� Proven record of craftsman skills (painting, decorating, woodwork, household repairs, low level plumbing works)

� Basic knowledge of building maintenance systems.

� Proven ability to apply best practice in the use of all materials and equipment that is provided to carry out work.

� Experience of working in a high end customer service establishment.

� Proven ability to handle client matters in a professional and confidential manner.

� Practical application and working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and legislation to eliminate or mitigate risk in the workplace.

� Good knowledge of lone working practices

� Willingness to undertake further training as required

� Excellent communication skills

� To be able to take instructions and organise day accordingly
