Contract type: Part time Temporary position


Days required to work Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays - 8:30am - 5:00pm - 7 � hours a day


Adecco are currently recruiting for a part time Faculty Administrator, starting ASAP until the March 2022. The purpose of this role is to provide an efficient and effective administrative support as part of the Faculty Office, School of Engineering and the Environment. The role will directly support the day to day running of one of the Schools and the Departments within it, and act as the front of house to the Faculty, playing a vital role in contributing to its general smooth running.



  • To act as a focal point for a wide variety of day-to-day queries from Department, School and Faculty staff, as well as across the University and external organisations.

  • To arrange meetings, including to book rooms and catering, arrange AV requirements, send out invites, and ensure that meetings run smoothly.

  • To provide electronic diary management support to the Associate Head of School. Deal with associated arrangements, setting up, scheduling and prioritising of appointments, meetings and visits accordingly.

  • Assist the Ass HoS and L&T Director with operational activities for Learning and Teaching, such as ensuring policy and procedures are being adhered to. Ensuring communication channels with academic staff, HoD, HoS, faculty office and student office remain clear and accurate.

  • Assist with Data collation and entry in relation to all elements of Learning and Teaching such as Module reviews, enhancement plans; NSS results; course summaries; Canvas; etc

  • To organise Department, School and Faculty events and activities e.g., away days, School forums, development days, graduation, smaller Faculty events as required.

  • To maintain email distribution lists.

  • To clerk and organise Department, School and Faculty committees and meetings with responsibility for collating reports, minute taking, action tracking and document management.

  • To undertaking initial drafting and production of a range of documents and correspondence, ensuring high quality, accurate presentation for School of Directors.
