My client, a school based in Leyland, is looking to appoint a highly motivated and committed Business Support Officer to assist their busy finance team.
The purpose of the role will be to support co-ordination and maintenance of administrative/ clerical and financial systems and procedures for the school.
The role will involve but not be limited to;
* General administration & customer service when dealing with parents, pupils and external contractors.
* Assist with financial transactions/activity within the school (e.g. orders, invoicing, banking and cash and accounting entries)
* Monitoring of all management information and finance systems
* Under direction, manage procurement within the school
* Assist with induction, demonstration of duties and training and development.
* Assist with the management information & financial data production of reports for the senior leadership team.
* Administration duties to Headteacher
* Assist with funding/grant submissions
* Manage stocks of supplies and consumables
* Attendance at School Management Team as a member and at Governors Meetings
* Contribute to marketing and promotion of the school
* Manage lettings and the use of premises and associated income.

The ideal candidate will;
* Have experience within a similar role preferably within a school, although this is not imperative.
* Possess Strong IT Skills
* Be a fast learner and have the ability to take ownership of a workload
The post is 37 hours per week, 8.00am - 4.00pm - Monday to Friday with 35 minutes for lunch, term-time only plus 2 weeks
This is a temporary role however there could be opportunities throughout for the right candidate.
