PURPOSE OF ROLE
To oversee the Finance and Payments function for Assets and Property
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* To ensure the delivery of a comprehensive finance and payments service for the whole service
* To produce meaningful financial monitoring reports to ensure that the service manages expenditure within approved budgets
* To co-ordinate monthly finance meetings with operational managers
* To ensure that all staff comply with the Client Financial Regulations and Contract Standing Orders
* Providing financial advice and technical support to operational managers and staff
* To provide financial training to operational staff as required
* To ensure that payments are processed correctly and within contractual timescales
* To manage the preparation, production and processing of certificates
* To manage the processing and payments of all ad hoc payments
* To liaise with external service providers on payments issue
* To manage the rechargeable repairs process for the service
* To innovate and develop the finance and payments function to provide the best service
* To undertake any other commensurate duties as identified by the Performance and Business Support Manager
