Adecco are assisting Sunseeker with their search for three Finance Apprentices to join the team at Sunseeker Poole.

As a Finance Apprentice, you will be able to study for your professional accountancy qualification (AAT) while also gaining vital hands-on, task-focused work experience primarily in one area of Finance, but gaining experience across all Finance teams and exposure to the boat building operations of Sunseeker.

As a Finance Apprentice, you will study towards the AAT Level 4 qualification via paid day release with training provider BPP.

Employed via a fixed term training contract which will last three years, this apprenticeship is a credible alternative to university, allowing you to gain hands on experience in a high performing and credible finance team, whilst gaining nationally recognised finance qualifications.

For high performing apprentices, opportunities exist to continue studying after the apprenticeship for full accountancy qualifications.

Example responsibilities include:

  • Preparing journal entries and completing general ledger operations

  • Reconciling and maintaining balance sheet accounts

  • Closing and preparation of monthly financial statements

  • Assist the finance business partners in creating weekly and monthly analysis

  • Assist in the preparation of boat profitability analysis

  • Generating dealer statements and boat documentation

  • Undertaking KYC analysis of clients

  • Administering accounts receivable and accounts payable,

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

  • Assisting senior team members in the preparation of financial and management accounts

  • Liaising with production and non-production staff across Sunseeker

  • Administrative duties as required

To be considered for this role, you should:

  • Have a minimum of three A Levels at grade B or higher, or equivalent business related vocational qualification

  • Have successfully completed Maths and English at GCSE (or equivalent)

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated, hardworking, flexible and reliable

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Enthusiastic and driven to complete professional development

  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
