  • Assist the Accounting Supervisor to review and maintain accounting records as required from time to time by the Supervisor.

Skills Specification

  • As a minimum possessing a good spread of A-level and GCSE qualifications appropriate to a position in finance and with experience in an accounting function posting financial transactions to double entry level, not just purchase or sales ledger experience. • Possessing an interest in finance, the individual would be required to be positive, methodical and conscientious in their approach to work.

  • The ability to both work methodically and to standard policies and procedures, but also on his own/her own initiative and to be creative when considering solutions on how to achieve the end result would be expected.

  • The composition of the department requires the jobholder to be very much a "team player".

  • Good at working and dealing with people.

  • Ability to see beyond the job in hand when assessing the likely impacts of any changes to the various operational processes under their direct control.
