Our client a Law Enforcement organisation is currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner, the role is to start ASAP pending a security clearance which can take 1-4 weeks, duration 3 months with a possible extension, pay £19.65ph, hours Mon-Fri 36 hours per week.


Overview of the role;


The Finance Business Partnering team provides support to all operational and corporate teams across the client in managing their budgets, forecasts and expenditure, and ensuring that that they have the right financial and management information and support to enable them to manage their resources effectively.


As a Finance Business Partner, you will provide guidance and support to the business including financial, management and costing information. You will be committed to the development of effective relationships with finance colleagues and senior staff.


You will be prepared to gain a thorough understanding of the financial and management information systems and the business areas for which you have responsibility and ensure that the finance function protects and adds value, matching resources to priorities and supporting the senior management team in the delivery of their duties.


This role exposes you to a broad range of duties, working at pace to support business areas and inform strategic and operational decisions. You will need to be skilled at listening, interpreting, influencing, negotiating, inspiring and challenging, which are all vital to the role.


Key responsibilities;



  • Providing an effective Business Partnering service to support senior management / budget holders in their budget management and forecasting responsibilities.



  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts and month end reports.



  • Support in the preparation of budgets; review, analyse and challenge budget holders.



  • Delivery of quarterly forecasting.



  • Providing support and advice to senior management / budget holders on a day to day basis to help them manage their resources effectively.



  • Provide full case costing liaising with case teams.



  • Maintaining effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.



  • Supporting and developing team members by sharing specialist knowledge and experience.
