Finance Controller

ADECCO are delighted to be partnering with a local Chiswick company on the recruitment need for a Finance Controller to join their company. You will be working with a small team on finance administrators to ensure accurate and timely reporting of information to drive short-term and long-term strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified and have experience using Xero accounting system.

Permanent, Full-Time

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities:

  • Building and preparation of the annual budget and pre-closing forecast.

  • Preparation of annual sales and costs forecasts.

  • Delivery of the quarterly financial and management information reports.

  • Perform P&L variance analysis by division providing commentary where needed.

  • Perform customer profitability analysis.

  • Manage cashflow by monitoring accounts payables and account receivable.

  • Preparation of rolling 3-month cash flow forecasts.

  • Work with Finance team members to find solutions to problems.

  • Identify and implement process improvements.

  • Ensure procedures are updated on a continuous basis.

  • Ensure data in Xero is accurate and up to date.

  • Calculate quarterly cost and income accruals.

  • Maintain company internal controls.

  • Manage day to day financial queries from the business.

Role Profile:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant or Masters' degree in Accounting, Cost Accounting.

  • Previous experience with Xero accounting software desired.

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, reporting and business analysis.

  • Highly analytical, strong numeracy and accounting skills.

  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel skills for managing, analysing and presenting business data.

  • Problem-solving approach with ability to identify errors and implement appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to understand cost and revenue drivers and their impact on the business.

  • Organised with the ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

  • Ability to build trust relationships throughout the organisation acting as a team player.


  • Bonus - Up to 5%.

  • Annual leave - 22 days increasing by 1 day per year up to a max of 25 days
