My Crewe based client are looking for a Finance Manager to manage the day to day administration of the Finance Department.


Must have over 3 years' experience of working within a Manufacturing environment. Role will consist of upkeep of sales ledger and purchase ledger and production of monthly management accounts to Managing Director.


Delivery of financial processes and procedures to ensure effective financial control and compliance. Managing and developing the Financial Team.


Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the team effectively * Supervise the finance team on a day to day basis to meet deadlines. * Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure. * Responsible for managing the cashbook. * Assist with the year end preparation for auditors * Authorise payments to suppliers. * Expense reporting and control. * VAT Reporting/Intrastat (e.g. sales report). * Developing and ensuring compliance with financial policies and controls. * Supporting the budgeting process, monitoring of corporate and departmental budgets. * Management and Sales reporting. * Responsible for credit control * Produce and review of statutory and Management accounts. * Work closely with other departments to identify opportunities for improvement, such as stock, purchasing, sales etc. Essential Skills Required: * Significant experience of working within a financial environment * People management experience * Excellent communication skills * Good numeracy and literacy skills * Previous experience of managing a team with excellent people management skills * Strong commercial acumen, integrity and credibility * An aptitude for detailed figure work along with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy and pay close attention to detail * Strong Microsoft office package skills (word, excel, PowerPoint) - must be able to write queries and use SQL. Proficient user of Sage. * Disclosure Scotland Check (cost will be met by the Company) * Part/Full qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) * 3+ years' experience working within manufacturing sector


This is a permanent role and my client offers a very competitive salary of £30k - £37k plus benefits package.
