My global client with offices based in Kendal are looking for a Finance Manager to join their Finance team. They have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the team in Kendal who will be responsible for the UK and Middle East entities. As Finance Manager you will support and assist with the management accounting, financial accounting and financial administration processes of the company in line with company policy and internal controls.

The Finance Manager has the ability to have control and ownership of the finance functions in absence of the Financial Controller. Principal Accountabilities:

* Completion of monthly balance sheet folder provided for review and final approval by the Financial Controller.

* Completion of monthly consolidated reporting software used to report UKMEAC Division results to the US for review and certification by the Financial Controller.

* Key monthly and quarterly management information requests reported to the US corporate teams.

* Support for budget and forecasting.

* Support with taxation requirements and reporting for all UK legal entities.

* Preparation of UK and Irish VAT returns.

* Local reporting requirements for the Baku branch office.

* Ownership of the capital assets process.

* Treasury function, including bank guarantees and bonds.

* Key point of contact for both internal and external auditors.

* Actively promote the Core Values within all work based activities.

To be a successful Finance Manager they are looking for the following:

* Microsoft software knowledge i.e. Excel, outlook, windows explorer, internet explorer.


* Experience working to SOX requirements would be desirable.

* Ability to learn accounting packages and reporting tools.

* Ability to process data accurately in an efficient manner.

* Ability to communicate to employees at variance levels within the company and outside stakeholders.

* Previous experience of managing a team.
