We are currently seeking a Financial Controller to lead a team in the creation and management of Accounts, Budgets, Forecasts and Annual Financial Statements, as well as to monitor performance against financial targets.



This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a highly visible role and positively impact on the business as a member of the Senior Management team. The role demands strong technical capability, the ability to plan for future growth, and a hands-on, proactive approach.



You will be primarily based in their offices in East London, however, you will be required to travel to their offices in the Middle East every couple of months. Therefore, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and able to travel regularly, sometimes at short notice.



Responsibilities



  • Co-ordinate and manage group cash flow and bank liaison

  • Govern accounting software and the ledgers therein

  • Administer and supervise payroll for the company

  • Preparation & analysis of group monthly management accounts, performance, variances & trends

  • Preparation of group planning, budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Development, implementation & documentation of effective and efficient business processes, internal controls and accounting policies to ensure robust financial control

  • Overseeing the control of Payables and Receivables

  • Liaising with company's external accountants in regards to audit and other ad-hoc matters

  • Responsibility of review and finalisation of quarterly VAT returns as well as lead the relationships with HMRC/Companies House for various matters

  • Review and creation of various contracts as required

  • Management of project work including tender submissions

  • Support of operations where required



Qualifications




  • ACCA / CIMA Qualified, Part Qualified or qualified by experience
