Financial Shaping & Control Analyst

My client, a large global FMCG organisation based in Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire is looking for Financial Shaping and Control Analyst. You must enjoy working in a multi-discipline team, have a positive and constructive approach to conflict and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.

Pay rate: £25 per hour

Duration: 9 months

Hour: 37.5 per week

Job purpose

The purpose of the job is to co-ordinate and support the financial shaping & control process for Pet Nutrition Europe (PNE) via (1) providing transparent and correct status on actual financial performance for the region; (2.) coordinate and consolidate the financial S&OP+ forecast for the share & shape (3.) guarding the financial reporting process for efficiency and quality to secure corporate requirements are met according to the Finance Manual.

Key responsibilities

  • Managing the periodic process for all management and financial reporting. First, it includes the reports of periodic market reviews of PNE units. 2nd, all reporting for Demand and Supply, which is distributed and widely-used overall departments within Europe. These reports include PNE and Multisales data and require (for development and maintenance) in most cases close collaboration with other departments besides Finance (Marketing, Activity, Supply, Commercial). The responsibility also includes the Market Share Reporting and top-level analysis (including establishment of one consolidated data repository based on Nielsen). Ensure periodic financial KPIs are monitored and necessary improvements are driven incl. NCFO.

  • Ensure compliance and control of financial data quality of P&L and Balance Sheet according to Finance Manual, e.g. by having periodic checks during the period close process

  • Control and Consolidate the S&OP+ Process with the responsibility to provide every period the newest YEE's of the PNE business. The data is requested from the Blueprints. It is consolidated, valuated and discussed within the IR-Meeting (with Directors of S&OP+ & Finance) in order to provide the relevant Financial data for the MBR-Meeting.

  • Support the annual target setting of Operating Plan and Replan via coordination of the technical submissions and the consolidation/update/maintenance of the templates.

  • Prepare the quarterly and annual corporate recurring report requirements. (A02 Operating Plan, Q18 Quarterly Accounts, global petcare management requests). It requires contact with corporate reporting team in Vegel and McLean and with the global petcare finance team in Brussels

  • Actively maintain the contact with the local key users of the corporate reporting systems and the corporate reporting team members in order to share knowledge and best practice of efficient reporting and be able to solve any issue quickly and effectively.

  • Analysis and Insight creation in all relevant financial areas.

  • Support Financial Shaping Process by consolidating and aligning the template for C2G, Operating Plan & Replan. Further the collection of NSV/Volumes/GMAC per every Brandtech, additionally per Channel and further detailed KPI's.

  • Power BI: Maintenance and further development of the tool in order to allow working with „One set of numbers" overall Europe. Next, it requires to train the key audience and input providing markets within the Forecasting Process.

Education & Professional Qualification

  • University Master's degree in business administration/finance/management or financial accounting OR a comparable University Bachelor education with working experience within Finance.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel and PowerPoint must-have)

  • Preferable strong SAP, Helios and PowerBI/DAX experience

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills (Fluent in English, both written and oral).
