Food Europe FPA Manager and Controller


This role is the key planning, analysis and internal controls lead within the business unit. The purpose of this role is to ensure proper accounting and control processes are in place throughout the business unit to support complete, accurate, timely and high-quality financial statements, enabling financial insights. The role supports the CFO by providing insights by leveraging management reporting tools and collaborating with other finance business partners. Also works closely with the Segment Controller to drive global program and Segment-specific programs along with the accuracy and completeness of reported financial results (Quality of Accounts).

The Role:



  • Support the period-end, quarterly and year-end financial reporting process by ensuring proper accounting reporting, health of balance sheet and P&L, including accuracy & completeness for all units within the Cluster are within the required corporate submission guidelines & timing

  • Own relationship with the Shared Service Finance organisation to ensure adherence to accounting standards and accuracy of accounting information for the units within the Cluster

  • Lead accounting for special projects, transformations, and other ad hoc business requests, including implementation of new systems or business models

  • Oversee implementation of controls framework, controls testing plan and execution, co-lead governance & control agenda with CFO and President for all business functions


FP&A:



  • Own the consolidation of Cluster Financial forecasts, R&O and Management Scenario in support of the Regional S&OP process

  • Partner with Budget Owners, President and CFO in the management of Regional Overheads


Requirements:



  • Demonstrable experience working within a Financial Control role (Required)

  • Demonstrable experience working within an FP&A and/or Business Partner role for a CPG business (Preferred)


Skills:



  • University degree in Accounting or Finance (Required)

  • Financial Professional certification (Preferred)

  • Graduate level degree (Preferred)Strong accounting and finance background with track record of delivering results

  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrable ability to interpret finance results through prior experience within an FP&A role

  • Detail oriented with excellent organisational and planning skills

  • Digitally savvy, with strong user and problem-centric approach. Ability to learn systems and how they interact with one another. Microsoft Office, including Advanced Excel

  • HFM and SAP Experience or Equivalent ERP system (Preferred)

  • Good policy, process, and control-orientation and experience with the ability to drive standards

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, communicating technical concepts in a way that can be understood across business partners, including senior leadership
