The Purpose of the role:


To provide appropriate staff with specialist operational training and development to fulfil their respective roles and any future training that may become the responsibility of Training Learning and Development. This will be achieved by using a variety of recognised and effective delivery methods.


Providing training and development to known national guidelines in any area of the Force in addition to any other training that may be required from time to time.


To train staff to an accredited national standard in the various disciplines that support operational policing.



The successful candidate will have:


Level 3 Welsh - can converse partly in Welsh and be able to write an informal email and internal memo.


Evidence of training and development over the past 2 years.


Proven and recent history of working in operational policing/operational policing training and development.


Possess a Cert. Ed or equivalent qualification or a Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification (TDP)(Police Equivalent).


The ability to travel across the Force area is required. Possession of a full driving licence may therefore assist with this.
