Adecco Chester are currently recruiting on behalf of the FCIN team for a Forensic Vehicle Specialist.
The purpose of this role is to develop and strengthen the network, advising the FCIN team and member forces in the specialism of Forensic Vehicle Examination.
Salary: £33,618 - £36,369
Hours: Monday - Friday, full time hours
Duration: Permanent
Location: Mainly home based, with the requirement to visit North Wales on a quarterly basis

Key Requirements:
- Develop and define the standards for specialist and technical vehicle examinations on all types of
vehicles.
- Develop and define the standards for post collision, forensic vehicle examinations in line with national
requirements, undertake investigations into allegations of mechanical failure in order to identify
offences on vehicles.
- Manage the writing of Good Practice Guides, Standard Operating Procedures and Method Validation
for all aspects of the specialist vehicle examination and vehicle technologies within scope of
accreditation.
- When required will assist, undertake and/or schedule internal audits, providing feedback,
recommendations and options where applicable.
Key Skills:
- Good understanding of Forensic Collision Investigation work and/or attendance at fatal collision scenes
and/or have been involved in their investigations.
- Excellent communication, presentational and interpersonal skills are essential for the post-holder to be
effective.
- The post holder will have a working knowledge of Health and Safety requirements related to this
environment and have the ability to apply this knowledge practically in the workplace.
