We have an exciting opportunity to work with a top university based in Uxbridge. We are currently recruiting for 2 Funding Administrator's. This is a temporary position starting ASAP for 2 months. This role is paying £12.22 per hour.


Duties:



  • Ensure that up-to-date knowledge regarding all funding aspects of the student record is maintained, to effectively deliver a reliable provision.



  • Carry out routine manual processing of individual student data held on the Student Record System (SITS), ensuring that relevant funding records from applicant transfer through to progression cycles, subsequent annual enrolment and course completion are maintained.

  • Manage the data maintenance and administration of Scholarship and Bursary records and associated student communication.

  • Identify data discrepancies or system failings which may impact the student funding record and apply sound judgement to reach a resolution.


  • Support routine individual student external returns to the SLC or Local Authority and ensure that the external statutory reporting is compliant with appropriate audit trails.


Communication:



  • Ensure that communication where necessary is handled sensitively and data collection and information provision is compliant with both General Data Protection Regulation requirements and Freedom of Information.

  • Process internal and external information requests ensuring that a professional and reliable service is provided to all stakeholders and take personal responsibility for effectively communicating and writing to enquirers to ensure an acceptable outcome is reached


Administration:



  • Maintain a good working knowledge of the University's Senate regulatory framework, Council ordinances and associated policies as applicable.

  • Process applications and any associated administration for the Hardship Fund, ensuring awards are made equitably and outcomes are communicated in a timely manner.

  • Process applications for US Federal and Private Loans and any associated administration ensuring compliance with US Federal regulations.

  • Support Student Loan Company (SLC) and Local Authority administration requirements, confirming individual student attendance and providing notification of change of circumstances where appropriate.

  • Investigate often complex enquiries and support production of case notes for managers assisting with complex query resolution when required.

  • Confident and conversant with the Student Record System (SITS) using reports to ensure that funding records remain correct and support the regulatory framework and funding framework accurately.

  • Maintain extensive user knowledge of SITS and other databases and applications as necessary such as SAM, Remedy, US Loan databases and HEBBS (Student Loan Company) portal and support the introduction of new technologies where appropriate.


Skills:



  • Competent in MS Office and have confidence to communicate with students.
