General Yard Assistant - Outskirts of Bury - £8.30ph

Our successful construction client based just outside Bury St Edmunds requires a General Yard Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an ongoing full-time temporary to permanent position due to start as soon as possible. The role will provide you with the opportunity to play an integral part in the success of the expanding business and you will be provided with on-going training opportunities to up-skill and develop yourself including putting you through your test to obtain a forklift license.

Initial responsibilities will include:

  • Jet washing company equipment

  • Checking equipment upon return to ensure it is not damaged

  • Picking and packing orders

You will need to be a hard working, committed person who is a great team player to be suitable for this role. There is no specific experience required; but a great attitude and a flexible approach to work are essential.

As the client is based just outside of Bury St Edmunds you will definitely need your own transport. There is free parking for staff. It is NOT accessible via public transport.

Starting salary of £8.30ph, with normal working hours between 8.00am-5.00pm with the opportunity for over time at time and a half.
