Overview


To ensure the smooth running of day to day duties in the warehouse, making sure all work is complete to agreed deadlines. Managing the team by making sure all policies and procedures are being followed, whilst ensuring H&S policies are followed at all times. Leading by example and setting expectations whilst being able to identify and act on areas of improvement. Working with the team, problem solving and ensuring daily KPI targets are met. Work closely with the Goods Out Manager to inform of any issues that may arise throughout the shift and other Warehouse Team Leaders to create a collective team.


Duties and Responsibilities




  • Oversee all procedures and output of Goods out team

  • Be responsible for the overall productivity within your designated team

  • Receiving orders and checking off and moving stock

  • In depth knowledge of Booking in stock, Allocating, Picking, Packing and Despatching orders in Orderwise, ProdSmart

  • Oversee, coordinate and prioritise orders to be picked to reduce and prevent late orders over 15 days

  • Drive WH KPI's and achieve 100% OTIF for each order.

  • Have in depth knowledge of the preparation of all related shipping documents according to the legislation requirements for all customers and provide training to colleagues

  • Communicate with various couriers to arrange collections and deal with logistics related queries

  • In depth knowledge of preparing product and pallets for dispatch to include labellingand provide training for colleagues

  • Oversee and direct the general warehouse maintenance

  • Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labelling operations and sorting

  • Work with Goods Out Manager to create team job descriptions, Objectives and KPI's for your team

  • Responsible for the management and development of directly managed employees

  • Providing training, coaching and identifying training needs

  • Report the lateness and absence of the team in conjunction with the HR department in a timely manner




  • Understanding all aspects of the business operations, and constantly looking for ways to improve and ensure the smooth running of the warehouse.

  • Actively support operational change whilst effectively minimising disruption to production and service

  • Carry out regular stock-checks and take relevant action.

  • Be able to write standard operation procedures (SOP) and risk assessments

  • Maintain the working area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

  • Provide cover for the Goods Out area during any absence of the Goods Out Manager



Quality



  • To complete the required quality documentation, ie. checklists for positive release of products

  • Competent user in OW- To be able to accurately book products off the system in OW

  • To aid in the rejection procedures

  • To remain up to date with all training requirements

  • To ensure the team are up to date with all training requirements

  • To adopt GMP practices

  • To write SOPs /WI to reflect the current processes

  • To raise Non conformances

  • To work closely with QA and Suppliers in external Non-conformances and rejection procedures

  • To investigate internal non conformances

  • To participate in Internal and external Audits



Requirements




  • Must be prepared for working in a shift pattern

  • Must be comfortable working with Orderwise and provide training to colleagues

  • Must be comfortable working in a high volume and fast paced environment

  • Must have a good understanding of warehouse processes

  • Regular repetitive medium lifting of boxes up to 30kg 40cmx40cmx40xm

  • Provide cover required for the Goods In area during any absence of the Goods In Manager

  • Perform Warehouse duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labelling operations and sorting if required

  • Be able to write standard operation procedures (SOP) and risk assessments

  • Maintain the working area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations




Experience



  • Proven experience of using Orderwise

  • Previous experience in warehouse (minimum 2 years)

  • Management of staff

  • Great attention to details

  • Good level of English language

  • Good level of numeracy skills

  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills

  • Understand implementing and maintaining 5S standards
