A prestigious organisation in Gloucestershire is currently seeking to recruit a Head of Digital and Data on a permanent basis. You will be working out of their state-of-the-art head office on the outskirts of Gloucester, easy access to the motorway.

The successful candidate will;

Manage budgets in line with spending controls and work proactively with Finance to ensure effective overall control and forecasting.

As a digital leader within the Organisation, provide the critical provision of digital and data support and guidance to the Transformation, wider Executive and Senior Leaders on all aspects of those services provided as part of the function.

Monitor, track and advise the Transformation on all aspects of the Digital and Data Services; issues, risks and changes, including legislation, policy, working practices and strategy. Ensuring the Organisation is aligned and conforms to regional and national requirements and initiatives. ◦

Work extensively with senior stakeholders, to ensure that services provisioned are aligned to the demand within the organisation, and that the role and function of Digital and Data Services, becomes a valued and respected provider.

Job Role

Define, develop, implement and embed the Digital and Data Services objectives, deliverables

and outcomes, as part of the corporate strategy. Ensuring service improvements to operational

policing and enabling services through digital technologies and data integrity.

Restructure and transform the function and its services, develop and implement modernised

and agile processes, ensuring improved overall efficiency's and effectiveness.

Provide leadership for the Digital and Data Transformation Programme as part of the

Transformation Portfolio, driving large scale transformation initiatives across the

Organisations functions and services.

Lead the future direction of this function and its services, providing an innovative, modernised

approach aligned with the regional and national digital programmes.

Develop an environment of continuous service improvement, encouraging horizon scanning,

and defining change and transformation initiatives required to ensure service excellence.

As part of the Transformation Portfolio, develop an agile, modernised, high performing digital

and data function, through understanding the scope, and required capabilities and services of

this function.

Drive an effective model for Digital and Data Services, which delivers a professional, focused

service, ensuring we are meeting the requirements and demands of the organisation.

Ensure that legacy and new systems are maintained to support the delivery of the

Organisation's services.

Ensure that all services provisioned are robust, resilient and fit for purpose, identifying areas of

risk, assessing impact and escalation.

Develop and define effective service and operational level agreements, which are managed

and monitored to ensure they meet organisational requirements.
